The USO BBQ for the Troops Event at Raymond!
On Saturday July 13th, we here at Raymond Chevrolet had the pleasure of firing up our grill for the annual USO BBQ for the Troops! We had an amazing turn out this year and could not have done it without all of you who attended- so thank you!
Each year, the BBQ for the Troops event raises money for the brave men and women who have served or are serving our country and their family members. In doing so, the USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to their families, homes, and country.
We spent the afternoon enjoying good food, raffles, games, live music, activities for the kids, and hanging out with some good company! All of the proceeds from the entire days event went to the USO.
95 WIIL Rock was also in attendance to kick off the day with us. We enjoyed live music and raffles with them, along with the band Jim and Justin. Everyone of all ages had a great time hanging out and listening to acoustic versions of today’s music.
An incredible color guard performance was done by multiple representatives during our barbecue as well. Everyone enjoyed watching this performance and supporting the USO of Illinois. It was a great event all for a great cause and we cannot wait to do it again next time!
