Photographers spied the new 2019 Silverado 1500 with a chassis cab variant outside of GM in Michigan. This new cab option allows drivers to alter and shape the vehicle to their individual needs. Not only can the chassis cab bear heavy loads, but it can be tailored to specific preferences. For instance, drivers can choose between a wide range of cab-to-axle options. The chassis cab comes as a single piece frame for durability, and is painted to protect against corrosion.
All Chevy Silverado Chassis cabs come standard with a Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 engine, which includes an Allison transmission. The engine is hidden by a forward-tilting cover, and the truck embraces a new wheel cut design. The engine cover and the wheel cut design makes accessing the engine easier than before.
The 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 chassis cab includes many features that make up-keep and maintenance a breeze. One of these features is the accessibility of the battery box. This easy-to-reach battery box is located right below the cab on the driver’s side, and includes an auxiliary jump-start stud. Another feature is the diesel exhaust fluid fill. Located on the right fender behind the front wheel, the diesel exhaust fluid fill makes fluid refills easy.
