Paint the Dealership Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, a health campaign organized by major cancer charities with the objective of educating people about the disease and ways to prevent it. One of the key goals is to promote mammograms as a tool for early detection to fight against breast cancer.
At Raymond Chevrolet, we believe spreading awareness about breast cancer is critical because it impacts the lives of so many individuals. That’s why we are donating to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization for EVERY test drive in October during our Paint the Dealership Pink event.
What Is the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Organization?
In 1980, Nancy G. Brinker’s sister, Susan, was dying of breast cancer. Susan made Nancy promise that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. That powerful promise became the Susan G. Komen® organization and the beginning of a global movement in 1982.
Today, the organization has grown into the world’s largest nonprofit charity for the fight against breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen® organization has invested more than $3.3 billion in groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 60 countries. In addition, their tireless efforts helped reduce breast cancer deaths by 40 percent between 1989-2016!
We are proud the support the organization this month so they can continue to invest in breakthrough research and save lives. If you are interested in donating to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization, you can visit their website or schedule a test drive at Raymond Chevrolet today!
